While writing about my dad, I discovered something unexpected.
At first, I simply journaled to process grief, memories, and love after my father’s death.
Hope encouraged me to keep going.
Those journal entries became a book.
While editing The Cardinal’s Promise, I kept hearing the same thing from families and caregivers:
“We need something practical.”
Not theory or complicated words. Not another book telling people what to feel.
They wanted a real guide.
Something families can use when they’re tired, scared, overwhelmed, and trying to help someone they love.
That’s why I wrote The Cardinal’s Toolkit.
It came from the same place as The Cardinal’s Promise: love, presence, grief, healing, and the belief that no one should go through these moments alone.
